Artisan & Handycraft Skill Development

Following the program, we work closely with the artisan group and partner organization focusing on the sustainability of the cooperative, providing a market in which they can sell their products, and help them to establish other retail and wholesale outlets.We continue to work with the leadership team and partner organization, assisting the women in creation of new products and monitoring any challenges or issues that arise. After training the women are paid for products made, providing immediate income. This is often a 200-300% increase in their normal daily wage! The women report using the additional income to pay for food, healthcare, children's school fees, and other necessities.

The growth trend within the eBook category is only growing upward. According to a report published by Mordor Intelligence, the global eBook market valued at $18.13 billion at the end of 2019 and is on its way to reaching $23.12 billion by the year 2025.

This has been especially more apparent during 2020 when people turned to books and eBooks to escape the cabin fever that ensued post lockdown and stay-at-home orders. In fact, an article published in The Guardian mentioned that eBook and audiobook sales for UK publishers were at an all-time high during the pandemic.
